What we process

When you use Bymax Careers, you upload a resume file (PDF or DOCX) and provide a job description. This content is processed on our server to generate the analysis.

What we do NOT store

We do not store your resume, job description, or any personal information permanently. All data is processed in memory and discarded after the analysis is complete.

Third-party services

We use the OpenAI API to perform the analysis. Your resume text and job description are sent to OpenAI for processing. OpenAI's privacy policy applies to this data. We do not send any personally identifying metadata.

Local storage

Optionally, your most recent analysis result may be saved in your browser's local storage (IndexedDB) so you can recover it after an accidental page refresh. This data never leaves your device.

Your OpenAI API Key

If you choose to provide your own OpenAI API key (BYOK), it is stored exclusively in your browser's local storage using base64 encoding. It is never sent to or stored on our servers — it is transmitted directly to OpenAI only during the analysis request. You can remove it at any time from the analyze page.

Cookies and tracking

We do not use tracking cookies, analytics, or advertising. This is an MVP with no user accounts.
